Founding beta terms
What you get during the beta, what we ask of you, and what is explicitly not promised.
Effective
This is a beta
Artifact Publisher is an early founding-beta product run by its founder. Anyone can create a personal account with GitHub or Google. It works, and the parts described in the documentation are real — but it has no service level agreement, no support rota, and no guarantee of continuity. Do not make it the only copy of anything you cannot lose.
What you get
- One personal workspace, with sign-in through GitHub or Google.
- Publishing to stable unlisted links, immutable versions, updates without re-sending, expiry and revocation.
- Optional page-level comments from recipients, who never need an account.
- No charge during the beta period, and no payment card.
Limits
These are enforced by the service, not by this page:
- 10 MiB maximum for one HTML document, measured in UTF-8 bytes.
- 1 GiB of retained storage per workspace, counting every version you have not revoked.
- 50 new versions per calendar month, counting publishes and updates alike.
- Rate limits on publishing and on commenting.
- Recipient opens are not limited.
If you need more room for genuine work, ask — allowances are set per workspace and we can raise yours. They exist to keep the service affordable and hard to abuse, not to push you into a plan.
What we ask
- Publish work you have the right to publish, and do not use Artifact Publisher for the things listed on theabuse page — phishing, malware, impersonation, illegal material, or content targeting a private individual.
- Do not use it as general web hosting, as a production application runtime, or as a content-delivery network. It is a way to send one finished page to a person.
- Tell us candidly what is wrong with it. That is the actual price of the beta: we would rather have one honest account of why you stopped using it than ten polite compliments.
What is not promised
Being explicit here is fairer than being vague. During and after the beta, Artifact Publisher does notpromise:
- That it will stay free. The beta is free for its stated period. It is not free forever, and we will not describe it that way. If a price follows, you will be told what it is before it applies to you, and nothing will be charged without you agreeing to it first.
- That these limits will stay the same. Allowances and terms may change after the beta.
- Uptime, durability, or a support response time. There is no SLA. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.
- Teams, single sign-on, custom domains, billing, notifications, or public discovery. None of these exist, and none are committed.
Ending it
You can stop at any time; revoke your links and ask us to delete the account. We may suspend a workspace that is being used for the abuse categories above, or that is placing the service at risk, and we will tell you why.
Changes
These terms will change as the product leaves the beta. The effective date above changes with them, and anything material will be raised with you directly rather than being left for you to notice.
